For more information contact: jan@preceptarizona.org.     How to Study the Bible (2 days) Leave excited to know - "I can do it." Overview a book and study a chapter - all to change your life! Learn why and when to use specific inductive study skills.         Basics of Precept upon Precept (1 Day) formerly titled Studying and Leading Precept     —For those who are new to our Precept Upon Precept Inductive Bible Studies—     Learn to study a Precept Upon Precept course and the basics to begin leading a course.     Precept Leader Training (1 Day) fomerly titled Planning and Leading Effective Discussions — For those who have studied one or more Precept Upon Precept courses— Learn how to plan an effective discussion which leads to application. (You'll be sent a lesson to complete before the workshop, so register at least three weeks in advance.)     Word Studies (1 Day)     —Using practical word study tools—     Learn how to uncover valuable insights not readily apparent in English versions of the Bible. With no prior experience in Greek you'll investigate mood, voice, and tense of Greek verbs to shed new light on texts.     Structuring - Examining texts for new insights (1 Day) —Gain greater understanding through grammatical study, and clearly see the author's train of thought— An exciting brain-stretcher that teaches you how to understand the flow of thought in a text. You’ll be excited to see how much is in the text that you didn’t see before!         Advanced Precept Leader Training (1 Day) formerly titled Leading Different Kinds of Lessons     — For those who have led one or more Precept Upon Precept courses AND taken Precept Leader Training workshop (formerly titled Planning and Leading Effective Discussions) —     Focus on leading O.T., prophecy and topical studies. You’ll be sent three lessons to complete before the workshop, so register at least three weeks in advance.     FREE TOPICAL WORKSHOPS         Biblical Prayer (1 Day) The Bible teaches that prayer is a vital part of the Christian life. Why then are so many believers today confused about it? Does it seem like your prayers never reach God, or if they do, are not positively answered? In this workshop you will examine several prayers from Scripture and learn the basics of inductive Bible study.     Witnessing (1 Day) The basics of inductive Bible study will be used to observe what the New Testament says about "witnessing". Understanding what God says about witnessing can set you free if you've ever felt like a failure or in bondage in this area. You'll examine the Spirit's part in witnessing and the Word's part, as well as the believer's part.     Finding Your Place of Service in the Church (1 Day) Using basics inductive Bible study skills, you will learn what the Bible teaches about how individual believers fit in Christ's body, the Church. This workshop focuses on the foundational elements of spiritual gifts.     The following workshops are scheduled through Precept Ministries International and held at your facility based on local request. For more information contact: jan@preceptarizona.org.     Accurately Handling a Difficult Passage in the Bible (3 days) — John 15:1-6, the illustration of the Vine and the branches— Study the overall message of John’s unmatched Gospel and research the immediate context and significant cross-references to identify the meaning of John 15:1-6. In this process, you’ll evaluate eternal security and fruit in believers’ lives. But the broader emphasis of this workshop is on interpretation and the use of the inductive study method in resolving difficult passages in general. You’ll be sent pre-workshop study to complete, so register at least 3 weeks in advance. Prerequisite: the completion of three or more Precept Upon Precept courses or one of the following workshops: former Level 1 or 101, Inductive Book Study—Overview, Overview and Chapter Study.         Accurately Handling a Difficult Subject (4 days)     — What does the Bible say about the baptism of the Holy Spirit?—     This workshop focuses on principles of interpretation. Study an overview of Acts and cross-references in the Gospels, Epistles, and Old Testament that will help us understand important truths about the Holy Spirit, including what it means to be baptized in the Spirit and into the Body of Christ. Prerequisite: the completion of three or more Precept Upon Precept courses or one of the following workshops: former Level 1 or 101, Inductive Book Study—Overview, Overview and Chapter Study.     Cost for Workshops 1 Day - $45.00 1 1/2 Days - $60.00 2 Days - $80.00 3 Days - $100.00 (Includes taking a 1 Day and a 2 Day workshop in the same weekend) Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, ~ Hebrews 12:1 ~
